The next version of Safari will explicitly prompt you when a website tries to access your cookies or other data, and let you decide whether to allow it, a welcome step toward explicit choices about online tracking.

Good Move

If Apple is really going to embed blocking of ad and plugin tracking into their core browser, then we may start to see all other major browsers follow along. This will put privacy plugins like Ghostery and others in a bit of a tough spot.

This is a welcome change for sure, however, I echo the comment below;
